Greg Shaughnessy
Owner & Landscape Sales Manager
Greg founded Maple Crest Landscape in 2007 after a successful career in heavy equipment sales for the agriculture and construction industries. He brings a people-first approach to landscape sales, finding the most joy in meeting new clients and helping transform their outdoor spaces. His leadership has shaped Maple Crest into a family-oriented company, with two of his three children now working alongside him. When he’s not at work, Greg is most likely enjoying time on the golf course with friends.
John Hamblet

With over 20 years of experience in landscape, maintenance, and snow and ice management, John plays a key role in both client service and strategic operations at Maple Crest. He’s passionate about building strong relationships and delivering reliable, efficient solutions year-round. His deep experience managing winter storm events has taught him how to stay adaptable and keep properties safe, no matter the conditions. Outside of work, John enjoys walleye fishing, golfing, and visiting State and National Parks with his family.
Dan Ryan

Dan Ryan

Dan brings over four decades of landscaping experience to Maple Crest, having worked his way up through the field in roles ranging from laborer to project manager. His deep knowledge and hands-on background give him a unique ability to turn client visions into beautifully designed, functional outdoor spaces. In 2024, one of Dan’s designs earned a Hardscape Hero award and will be featured in the 2025 product catalog. When he’s not designing or overseeing projects, Dan enjoys fishing and spending time on the golf course.
Steve Schrupp

Steve Schrupp

Steve has been with Maple Crest for 18 years and brings over two decades of experience in landscape, construction, and snow removal. As Operations Manager, he oversees project logistics, quality control, and in-field training, helping to ensure projects stay on track and up to Maple Crest’s high standards. He’s especially drawn to the hands-on aspects of construction and takes pride in seeing a project come to life. Steve studied at Winona State University and enjoys riding motorcycles, attending his daughters’ sporting events, and seeking out new adventures on the road.

Steve has been with Maple Crest since 2010 and in the landscaping world since 2001. Originally pursuing a biology degree, he explored various career paths before discovering his passion for landscaping—and more specifically, digging giant holes and filling them with impressive features. Known for his strong field knowledge and laid-back approach, Steve brings humor and skill to every project. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, fishing, and cruising the lake on a pontoon with his family, yacht rock playing in the background.

Zack has more than 20 years of experience working in hardscapes, combining practical skills with a creative mindset. He thrives on solving design challenges and working closely with clients to bring their outdoor visions to life. From patios and retaining walls to full-scale outdoor living areas, Zack emphasizes quality craftsmanship and timeless design in every project. When he’s not working, Zack enjoys hiking, kayaking, and relaxing at the cabin with his family—experiences that inspire his appreciation for natural, well-designed spaces.
Griffin Shaughnessy

Griffin Shaughnessy
Owner & President
Griffin earned a degree in Environmental Biology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and began his landscaping career as an irrigation installer during his college summers. He joined Maple Crest in 2012 and now oversees all departments, including snow and ice management, commercial maintenance, landscape design and sales, and fleet management. Griffin is known for his big-picture thinking and love for the variety his role brings. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, traveling, music, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Drew began working at Maple Crest in 2013 after earning a degree in Environmental Science and spending time in fisheries science. His role at Maple Crest blends his love for the outdoors with his passion for strategic problem-solving. Drew particularly enjoys planning for the snow removal season and mentoring team members as they grow in their roles. In his free time, you’ll likely find him fly fishing in local rivers and streams, embracing the quiet and rhythm of the water.

Tyler brings more than 12 years of industry experience to his role as a Landscape Designer and Sales professional. He holds a degree in Landscape Design and Construction from Hennepin Technical College and combines technical knowledge with creative insight to craft beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. Tyler values the process of transforming ideas into reality and is always striving to create landscapes that reflect both form and function. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and has a deep passion for music, film, and art.

Justin began his Maple Crest journey as a maintenance crew lead and worked his way up to snow manager and then crew manager. With 7.5 years at the company, he now oversees operations with a strong focus on team leadership and field execution. His favorite projects involve reclaiming overgrown properties—working alongside crews to transform forgotten areas into well-maintained landscapes. Off the clock, Justin enjoys relaxing with his three dogs, managing his six fish tanks, and tinkering with his collection of 1/10 scale RC cars.

Addie joined Maple Crest in 2021, starting in lawn care and quickly advancing into her current role designing and installing flower beds, seasonal container pots, and managing snow removal operations in winter. With a background in caregiving and early childhood education, she brings empathy, creativity, and a people-centered approach to everything she does. Addie finds joy in bringing ideas to life and seeing the impact of her work on clients. Outside of work, she’s a bookworm who enjoys crafts, playing with her dogs, and spending weekends at dirt-bike or snowmobile tracks.

Cody has been part of Maple Crest for seven years, starting on lawn care crews and quickly advancing into management roles. For the past four years, he’s led lawn and snow crews, always prioritizing quality work and team collaboration. Cody takes pride in working alongside crews in the field and making sure each project meets Maple Crest’s high standards. When he’s not working, Cody enjoys attending concerts, gaming, and experimenting with smoked meats—his latest culinary passion.

John began his landscaping career right out of high school and has spent 15 years in the industry, including the past seven focusing on irrigation at Maple Crest. He loves seeing full irrigation systems come together and takes pride in watching them come to life at the push of a button. John’s practical experience and attention to detail help him deliver high-performing systems across all types of properties. When he’s not working, John enjoys ice fishing and spending quality time with his family.

As Office Manager, she focuses on accounts receivable and streamlining day-to-day operations with efficiency and precision. Emily’s attention to detail and organizational skills help keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family and friends, outdoor adventures, music, and exploring new places—all of which fuel her creativity and bring balance to her life.
